Overview
LaLaLand Creative, a fashion design and manufacturing business with a vision to reinvigorate and transform the wholesale apparel business had seen rapid growth in its five years of operations. Their primary focus was on B2B, but their long-term vision was to grow internally and eventually serve the B2C market.
They were unsure of where to concentrate their efforts but knew that they must take steps to establish their market position and improve their communication of what sets them apart from their competitors. Their supporting visual identity also needed to evolve to reflect this new phase of growth and their passionate and ambitious vision and mission for the future.

Our approach
We conducted a discovery workshop with LaLaLand’s founder and CEO, Amy and other key members of her team who she entrusted with the vision of the future business. This, alongside the customer journey workshop aimed to gain a deep understanding of the brand, its values, mission, vision, and target audience and how the business has changed since it was established 6 years prior. We evaluated the brand's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and defined the target audience to understand their needs and behaviours. Through a series of questions and tasks, we helped the team really understand where they wanted to focus and the messages they wanted to communicate internally and externally moving forward. Evolving their ‘Test, React, Scale’ philosophy enabled them to consistently deliver superior results, offering a new ‘kinder’ way businesses can approach fashion design and manufacturing.

The results
Our work with Amy and the team resulted in a more focused offering and an identity and brand approach that fully aligns with their personality, business goals and ambitions. The identity is playful and speaks to the agile nature in which they work, adapting their skills to fully meet the expectations of their clients. Their approach is highly personalized, creative, and professional, aimed at igniting creativity. The brand’s strong use of black and white is contrasted with a high-velocity pink and tan palette which draws your attention in a fun and creative way, using ‘pattern cutting’ shapes within the brand secondary graphic allows for a dynamic visual extension of the brands playful nature and captures their spirited approach in all they do.
Through a truly customer-centric approach to their business and a focus on building strong relationships with their ‘guests’, LaLa Land Creative now has a vision that prioritises building on collaboration, creativity and passion to achieve mutual success. With a newfound desire to restore and heal the garment industry's reputation, LaLa Land Creative now has a stronger mission to live life and do business in a more conscious and kinder way.
